Birth Control Pills (21 Pack)

Combination birth control pills are usually available in either 28-day or 21-day packs. Both variations have 21 active pills. For 21 combination pill packs, we carry:

    • Faye (P469), Cyproterone acetate 2 mg + Ethinylestradiol 0.035 mg

  • Lizonya (P703.25), Drospirenone 3 mg + Ethinylestradiol 20 mcg
  • Liza (P680),  Drospirenone 3 mg + Ethinylestradiol 30 mcg

One pill is taken each day for 21 days, followed by a 7-day break from taking pills. It’s important to take the birth control pills as instructed because missing pills can decrease the overall effectiveness of the pill.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • If this is your first time taking the pill, start on the first day of your period. This will ensure that your menstrual cycle remains the same.
  • Start with the first pill in the pack – this is to ensure that it is easier to keep track of the birth control pills you’re taking.
  • Continue to take a pill every day, until the pack is finished (21 days).
  • After you’ve finished your pack, take a 7-day break from the pill.
  • During the 7-day break, you will experience withdrawal bleeding (this acts as your period on the pill).
  • Start your next pack of pills after the 7-day break, whether you are still bleeding or not.

Birth Control Pills (28 Pack)

Combination birth control pills are usually available in either 28-day or 21-day packs. Both versions have 21 active pills. For 28 combination pill packs, we carry:

  • Protec (P60), Levonorgestrel 150mcg + Ethinylestradiol 30mcg

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • If this is your first time taking the pill, start on the first day of your period. This will ensure that your menstrual cycle remains the same.
  • Take the 1st pill from the section of the packet marked “start”. This will be an active pill.
  • Continue to take a pill every day, in the correct order and preferably at the same time each day, until the pack is finished (28 days).
  • For first-time users, the pill will start to take effect after 7 days of use.
  • During the 7 days of taking the inactive pills, you will experience withdrawal bleeding (this acts as your period on the pill).
  • Start your next pack of birth control pills after you have finished the first pack, whether you are still bleeding or not.

Progestin-Only Pill

Progestin-only pills or POPs are contraceptive pills that contain only synthetic progestins and do not contain estrogen. For Progestin-only pills, we carry Daphne (P167), on our website. The progestin-only pill is safer for women who are older than 35 and smoke, breastfeeding mothers, and those that have high blood pressure or have a history of blood clots or migraine headaches.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • If this is your first time taking the pill, start on the first day of your period. This will ensure that your menstrual cycle remains the same. If you’ve just had a baby, you can start the progestin-only pill on day 21 after the birth. You’ll be protected against pregnancy straight away. If you start the progestin-only pill more than 21 days after giving birth, use additional contraception such as condoms until you’ve taken the pill for 2 days.
  • Take the 1st pill from the section of the packet.
  • Continue to take a pill every day, in the correct order at the same time each day, until the pack is finished (28 days).
  • For first-time users, the pill will start to take effect after 7 days of use.
  • Start your next pack of contraceptive pills after you have finished the first pack, whether you are still bleeding or not.

Medroxyprogesterone (For Absent/Irregular Periods)

This medication is similar to the progesterone that your body naturally makes and is given to replace the hormone when your body is not making enough of it. We carry Provera (P86) on our website.

INSTRUCTIONS:

These are the recommended courses of treatment that we advise if you are experiencing any of the following conditions. However, we strongly advise that you consult with your doctor first before purchasing.

  • Endometriosis: Take Provera 10 mg three times a day for 90 consecutive days, beginning on the first day of the menstrual cycle.
  • Abnormal Uterine Bleeding: Take 2.5 to 10 mg per day for 5-10 days for the duration of 2-3 cycles, and then discontinue to see if the dysfunction has regressed.
  • Irregular Periods: Take 2.5 to10 mg for 5 to 10 days, beginning on a day that has been calculated or assumed to represent day 16 or 21 of your menstrual cycle. Repeat this treatment for 3 consecutive cycles.

Condoms

Condoms are made from very thin latex, polyisoprene, or polyurethane and are designed to stop semen from coming into contact with a sexual partner. It is the only type of contraception that can prevent pregnancy, and that can serve as protection against sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). When used properly, male condoms are about 98% effective at preventing pregnancy. We carry the following condoms on our website:

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Take the condom out of the packet, being careful not to tear it with jewelry or fingernails. Do NOT open the packet with your teeth.
  • Place the condom over the tip of the erect penis.
  • If there's a teat on the end of the condom, use your thumb and forefinger to squeeze the air out of it.
  • Gently roll the condom down to the base of the penis.
  • If the condom will not roll down, you may be holding it the wrong way round. If this happens, it may have sperm on it, so throw it away and try again with a new one.
  • After sex, take the condom off the penis while it's still erect – hold the condom on at the base of the penis while you do this.
  • Remove the condom from the penis, being careful not to spill any semen.
  • Throw the condom away in a trash bin, not down the toilet.
  • Make sure your penis does not touch your partner's genital area.
  • If you have sex again, use a new condom.

Lube

Lube is a liquid or gel used to reduce friction and irritation during sexual activity. It can be useful during almost any type of sex, including vaginal penetration, anal sex, sex-toy play with or without a partner, and masturbation. The addition of lube can make sex more enjoyable. For lube, we carry:

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Lubricants should not be applied directly to the genitals. Instead, squeeze a small amount into your hand, warm it by rubbing with your fingers, then caress your lover or yourself with your lubricated fingers.
  • If you still have vaginal intercourse and use condoms, be careful with lubricants: They increase the risk of slip-offs. Move gently during intercourse; then, when you withdraw, one of you should hold the condom on the penis.

Menstrual Cup

A menstrual cup is a type of reusable feminine hygiene product. It’s a small, flexible funnel-shaped cup made of rubber or silicone that you insert into your vagina to catch and collect period blood. Cups can hold more blood than other methods, leading many women to use them as an eco-friendly alternative to tampons. And depending on your flow, you can wear a cup for up to 12 hours.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Before purchasing a menstrual cup, you will need to find out what size you need. Most menstrual cups come in sizes small or large.
    • The small menstrual cup is recommended for those aged 25 and under who have not endured vaginal birth.
    • The large menstrual cup is recommended for those over 25 who have endured vaginal birth.
  • Before applying your menstrual cup, wash your hands thoroughly.
  • Apply water or a water-based lube to the rim of the cup.
  • Tightly fold the menstrual cup in half, holding it in one hand with the rim facing up.
  • Insert the cup, rim up, into your vagina like you would a tampon without an applicator. It should sit a few inches below your cervix.
  • Once the cup is in your vagina, rotate it. It will spring open to create an airtight seal that stops leaks.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The sanitary pad is worn between the vulva and the underwear.
  • For sanitary reasons, do not use the same pad for longer than 12 hours at a time. After using, rinse your pad and let it dry.

But, they are made from natural ingredients and can easily be decomposed, unlike regular sanitary napkins which take over 500 years to decompose. With the help of biodegradable sanitary pads, you can easily reduce plastic waste in your home.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The sanitary pad is worn between the vulva and the underwear.
  • Most sanitary pads have adhesives that stick to the panties, while others have wings that wrap under the panties to keep the pad in place.
  • Sanitary pads are generally changed after every 4 to 8 hours to avoid them getting over soaked.
