The Blue Cross Pregnancy Test is an easy-to-use device that lets you know for sure.
Pregnancy tests detect human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) hormones in the urine. It is produced by the body only during pregnancy, starting from when a fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. As long as you know how to use pregnancy tests correctly and at the right time, most of them claim a 99% pregnancy test accuracy rate.

You can take a test as soon as there's enough detectable HCG in your body. You can reliably take this test as soon as on the first missed day of your period.
Taking the test is easy! First, check the packaging and make sure your test isn't expired. Your first pee of the day would have the highest concentration of HCG, so take the test in the morning. Pee into a clean and dry container. Place your pregnancy test on a clean and flat surface, then hold the pipette vertically and transfer three drops of urine to the specimen well of your test (try and avoid air bubbles in the specimen well). Wait three minutes for the moment of truth!
If two distinct purple lines appear on the control region (C) and test region (T), your result is positive.
If only the purple line is visible in the control region (C) and no clear line is on the test region (T), your result is negative.
If no visible lines appear, or a faint line appears on the test region (T), then the result is invalid.
Make sure you check right away because your test results are invalid after 10 minutes.
How do I store my pregnancy test?
The test device should be kept away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat. Do not freeze your test. Make sure your pouch is room temperature before opening it, then remove the test device from the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible.

Because your body produces more HCG the longer you are pregnant, your pregnancy test is more accurate the longer you wait. This means that the chances of a false negative go up the shorter you wait after having sex, so make sure to take the test at the correct time to avoid a false negative result. False positive results are much less common, but they do happen. Taking fertility drugs that contain HCG, having a miscarriage, or having an ectopic pregnancy could all result in a positive test result.
