Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes. Take Provera 10 mg three times a day for 90 consecutive days, beginning on the first day of the menstrual cycle.
Take 2.5 to 10 mg per day for 5-10 days for the duration of 2-3 cycles, and then discontinue to see if the dysfunction has regressed.
When you are experiencing amenorrhea (when you are not having periods):
Take 2.5mg-10mg for 5 to 10 days, beginning on a day which was been calculated or assumed to represent day 16 or 21 of your menstrual cycle. Repeat this treatment for 3 consecutive cycles.

Do not alter the dose or stop taking Provera without first consulting a physician (you can book a phone consultation through us). Please read the product insert carefully for dosages relating to other treatment protocols.
Do not take Provera if you are pregnant. If you are breast feeding, please consult a physician before taking this medication. While taking Provera, please refrain from smoking. Smoking combined with this medication may increase your risk for blood clots, strokes, high blood pressure, and heart attacks.
Most people who take Provera do not experience any serious side effects. Provera side effects may include:
• Nausea
• Bloating
• Breast Tenderness
• Headache
• Fever
• Unexpected Vaginal Bleeding or Spotting
• Change in Vaginal Discharge
• Mood Swings
• Dizziness
• Drowsiness
• Weight Gain or Loss
Severe side effects:
If you experience the following side effects, stop taking Provera and contact your doctor immediately:
• Sudden or Severe Sharp Pain in your Chest
• Coughing Up Blood
• Shortness of Breath
• Rapid Heart Beat
• Severe or Long-lasting Headache
• A Change in Eyesight
• Difficulty Speaking
• Fainting
• Weakness or Numbness
• Severe Pain or Swelling in your Calf, Ankle, or Foot
• Purple Discoloration, Redness, or Warmth on your Leg
Some products that may negatively interact with Provera include:
• Aminoglutethimide
• Drugs affecting liver enzymes that remove medroxyprogesterone from the body, like rifambin
• St. John's Wort
• Azole antifungals, like itraconazole
• Anti-seizure medicines like carbamazepine, phenobarbital, and phenytoin
