Just like using a regular pad, simply place your cotton pad on your underwear. Make sure that the pad is properly aligned so that it stays secure.
For sanitary reasons, do not use the same pad for longer than 12 hours at a time. After using, rinse your pad and let it dry.
First, don't forget to wash your hands thoroughly. Then, punch the bottom of the menstrual cup and twist it to break the seal. Once the seal is broken, it should be easy to remove. Empty the blood and rinse the menstrual cup with water. Once that's done, reinsert your menstrual cup, make sure it's sealed, and you're good to go!
You'll need to change your menstrual cup to avoid an overflow, so the duration will depend on the strength of your flow. As a sanitary rule, though, the cup shouldn't be worn for over 12 hours at a time.
If the stem is uncomfortable, you can simply trim it to suit your body! Be careful though, because if you cut it too short it may become difficult to remove the menstrual cup. Make sure too that what remains if the stem is not sharp, or you could hurt yourself.
Always sterilize your menstrual cup before use. Put boiling water in the sterilizer and leave the Aunt Flo cup inside for 3-5 minutes. Then, wash the Aunt Flo cup with mild soap and warm water.
Once your cycle is over, store your cup in our cotton bag keep it as germ-free as possible. We recommend that after each cycle, you also wash the cotton bag with mild soap and water.
