We envision a Philippines where sexual health care is affordable, accessible to all, and no longer considered taboo.

In the Philippines, instead of being encouraged, personal birth-control and safe-sex initiatives are still often spoken about in hushed tones and with unnecessary self-consciousness. Dima wants to change the conversation into one without embarrassment.

Dima recognizes that multiple factors—education, affordability, accessibility, and social stigma—get in the way of proper sexual health care. Dima hopes to create safe spaces for these topics, bringing sexual health into Filipinos’ everyday lives.

Acquiring sexual health care products and services in the Philippines should not have to be so awkward and expensive.

Filipino cultural attitudes about topics related to sex make open discussion about sexual health seem almost forbidden, and there is lingering distrust of perfectly acceptable generic-brand equivalents of sexual health products.

Dima wants to make sensible and affordable sexual health options available throughout the country. We want to streamline the process of doctor’s consultations, prescriptions, and pharmacy purchases via e-commerce so that people can get what they need quickly and safely.

The story behind our name. Dima is derived from Diyan Masalanta: the Tagalog goddess of love, childbirth, and peace, and the protector of lovers. At Dima, we carry Diyan Maslantala’s values with us, seeking to protect lovers by making sexual health information, products, and prescriptions more accessible to everyone.

Because safe sex is good sex!
